As of 1 June 2008, Sparrow Aviation began functioning as a flying club–the Sparrow Flying Club. This change allows us to focus on increased safety and the positive and aggressive promotion of aviation in central Arkansas. As you can appreciate, controlling the impact of rising fuel cost (more than double since we began two years ago) and insurance is only one of the driving factors that contribute to the success of a flying club.
Benefits of Membership
Sparrow Flying Club (SFC) offers all the membership benefits common to the exclusivity of joining an elite club — including, but not limited to, family activities, contests, special access to educational materials, seminars, and CFI time, promotional material and apparel, and access to the only airplane rental fleet in Conway, Saline Co., and Russellville.
Currently, SFC is the only club in the surrounding area offering access to an LSA and the associated training to allow individuals to obtain their Sport Pilot license, at about half the cost of the private ticket, with only a valid driver’s license as your medical.
Sparrow Flying Club members also have access to:

We offer competitive rental rates with discounts for members. All rental rates are “wet.” Fuel, fuel surcharge, taxes included. Rates are calculated from Hobbs time.
